Disappointing Stay
We looked forward to staying at the Oscar. Upon arrival no one at reception and no instructions about what to do. I located the telephone number on Hotels.com and spoke with someone who gave me the entry code and then sent a text with information. The room was in need of paint and a deep cleaning. Breakfast was an insult, a few pieces of bread, orange juice and coffee and very rude help. No butter, jam, fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc. unlike a normal petit déjeuner in any hotel. There was never anyone at reception except in the morning, absolutely no service. The entire stay was a true disappointment.

The people at this property went out of their way to help our family find transportation to the World Cup game. The rooms are old, but clean and very cute! The location, service, and breakfast were well worth it!

Very, very small single room. Check the requirement to alert hotel staff if arriving after 7 (there's a way to let you in, but the hotel in unstaffed after that time, and it helps to have dealt with this in advance)

A trip back in the 50s!
Very nice "budget" hotel. Incredibly nice and friendly staff. The atmosphere is very 1950s, although don't expect much of it in your room (I stayed in a regular room, so can't say about the upper scale rooms). The breakfast is absolutely gorgeous for the price, so I recommend that you book it with your room, you won't be disappointed. Location is great, in the city centre of Le Havre, near all museums, the beach and in the heart of the Unesco heritage "Auguste Perret district".

Great location and friendly place
The location was great, right in city centre and only 5 min wak to beach. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good English speakers. If I was every in Le Havre I would stay there again. No frills hotel but clean and good for 2 star.

voyage chez auguste hôtel typique du Havre des années 50 accueil sympa le mat petit déj sur mesure c'est bien pour les petits budgets car l'hôtel est tres bien situé vous pouvez vous promener à pieds centre ville marché et plage des travaux d'amélioration sont à envisager mais la volonté de faire bien est là ! courage aux gérants vous faites du bon boulot !
