"This hotel is located on a quiet hill with a beautiful view, a great place for an overnight stay during a trip, or a weekend get away to some peaceful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. "Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over...

"Le Moulin Bregeon offers a unique opportunity to stay in a converted water mill. Much thought and attention to detail went into the decor and restoration. It's off the beaten path and can be a challenge to find so prepare beforehand as it was not listed in our GPS. It is also a long distancel to the nearest city and popular sites. "

"This was a lovely, relaxed hotel with lots to do for the whole family. Tennis, golf, driving range, mini golf, volleyball etc and even a mini farm, horse riding and games room. Events such as walks and an outdoor cinema. Great breakfast with local produce, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. My son left his sunglasses behind and they were also kind enough to send them home to us!! "
