"The room was comfortable and the bathroom nice. The hallway was a bit noisy in the morning as the cleaning staff went about their business - not really able to sleep in. breakfast was really good. Front desk staff nice. Staff in the spa was not helpful or friendly - in my opinion, a phone call should not take priority over three couples standing in line. But generally, a very good place to stay."

Things that stand out are Luca at breakfast every morning, bottle of bubbles brought to the room for my husbands birthday, and sending me my pajamas when I accidentally left them the day we checked out. "Hotel Carullo is situated near the cable car in Malcesine. It is five minutes walk to the cobbled streets in the old part of the town and no more than a few more minutes to the lakeside. Lovely swimming pool and gardens to relax in. Plenty of sun loungers available. There was also a cabin selling drinks and ice creams by the pool, and there was also a gym . Staff very helpful. We had a large bedroom with a mountain view. Breakfast was good. "
