We were there for a 2 night stay at the end of August. The hotel is very well taken care of & it is in a quiet lovely location. It’s beautiful inside too. Rooms are cozy, clean , quiet, & decorated very nicely. The food & service in dining room is amazing! The free breakfast is plentiful, delicious, & fresh. It is a nice touch.
The only thing I didn't like was the drive to get to the property. Loved pretty much everything about our stay.

Average stay. Over priced, was not worth almost £200 per night. Staff friendly and B&B was clean. The room accommodation was worth around £100 per night but due to its location this is why it is over priced as their is no other place to stay. The road to access the hotel a single track road which people drive erratic on. I understand this has nothing to do with the owners but future guest should know.
The property was set in beautiful surroundings and was peaceful and tranquil. Hotel was very clean and we received a warm welcome from Fiona. Breakfast was lovely too.
Richard was a very friendly host and the meals were excellent. A firmer mattress on the bed would have been nice. A little expensive, but understandable considering the difficulties in operating in such a remote location. We would stay in The Drumbeg Hotel again.
Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated.
Our evening meal was delicious. We could even see deer in the field just across the narrow road from the hotel.
There was a good choice for breakfast, which was very nice.
When doors were opened at 4:00 met by a woman who said nothing. I walked to what appeared to be check-in and nobody was there. I rang the bell and a man appeared and said “yes?” My response was I’m checking in and gave him my name. Said absolutely nothing and walked away. Had the woman show me to my room. Never a hello, welcome or anything else. A couple of curmudgeons at best who have no business dealing with people in the hospitality business. I planned on dining there but at that point would not give them another pence. Should be renamed the SCUMBAG HOTEL.
Me and my friend stayed for the NC500. A really fantastic family run hotel with great food and great selection of drinks in the bar. A really quiet and relaxing environment both in the room, dining room and bar. The dining room opens up onto a really good view of a lake and mountains. The bar has a really good condition pool table as well. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent hotel and food in very rural hamlet on mountain road. Food is preordered for the evening if having meal . Beware hotel is on a mountain road with very very narrow width just width of car with blind corners and drops. Make sure come up from Lochinver not the other end or else you wish you hadnt if meet the motor caravans with no where to pull over. You be lucky to get out of 2nd gear. Dont attempt to drive this road if not a confident driver or novice. Be warned !! Barriers appear to be optional.
On plus note highly recommend hotel and food. A short few minutes walk will bring you to a spectacular view point.
The proprietors are lovely, friendly and full of information about the area. Easy to talk to and very accommodating. Food was great!! Cooked just as we asked. Quiet and comfortable accomodations. Highly recommend.
room was very clean, tea coffee facilties available, bed was comfortable. hotel was very off the beaten track. but a stunning location. breakfast and dinner very good.
Hotel was lovely. Well decorated and friendly, helpful hosts. Public areas and the rooms are comfortable and of a high standard. Kettle and tea/coffee in room were of high quality.
However, it was let down by poor quality beds that had a weak base and were not suitable for large adults. They broke immediately upon sitting on the mattress. This will be a lovely hotel when beds are replaced with units that are suitable for enduring use by multiple guests.
Room was small. Looked out on an unkempt garden. But the couple who own the place work very hard to keep the hotel open.
Off the beaten track, but very nice location for traveling the NC500.
