"Really fab place, we were close to all roads and the centre, free parking and cooking facilities and table and toiletries Only issue was there no communication where to put rubbish (just a sign on the wall next to instructions for bed settee) would help as we took 3 days to realise where to put it ! "Great property, would stay again. We had 2 apartments, one for a group of 3 and one for a group of 4. The space/amenities were excellent. The apartment on the 3rd floor was much quieter than the one on the first floor. on the first floor, the street level noise was sleep disruptive at times but overall not too bad if you are used to some night time city noise."

"Perfectly located in the capital, lots of grocery options, souvenir shops nearby. Good space to share for 3 people, only down side is that the water from taps smelled obnoxious, be it the toilets or kitchen sink, it all smell really bad and not suitable for drinking. "

"Great location right in the prime shopping and dining area and a short walk to many attractions. Clean space with comfortable beds and nicely furnished kitchen. It is a little loud if you are in the front units because the street it is on is in such a prime location. It is loud until 1am or later. They must know this because they left us ear plugs which were a godsend. "

"Great location both for getting around Reykjavik and for tourist transfers. Kitchen was really well stocked for a tourist apartment. Good heating. However, the hot water had an overwhelming smell of sulphur."

"The rooms were small (think cruise ship cabin) but manageable. Theres no place to store anything (no closet, no dresser), so we worked out of our suitcases. Which were only 2 carry-ons, if you have more than that you might be in trouble. Overall, for our short stay, the rooms worked well enough."

The best themed hotel we’ve ever stayed at.

"This hotel is the place you want to stay at. It is outside of Reykjavik by 12 min, by taxi 20 min by public bus. The hotel is wonderfully themed with a great restaurant next to it. The night manager, Karolina at the front desk is absolutely lovely person. When we arrived at 2am Karolina warned us about getting restaurant reservations for Dec 31st & Jan 1st in the city because, as we found out, Icelandic people take there national holiday very seriously closing absolutely everything including the public busses by 2pm. We tried getting a restaurant reservation but to no avail. The hotel room has a fridge & the grocery stores were going to be open. Every night we saw her at the desk & had long conversations with her. She’s was an absolute delight & deserves a raise. (Karolina the night desk person for hotel Viking and another part of the hotel sister setting.) I swear another hotel will snatch her up, because she’s that delightful. Each room has a type of sauna. Our view was great of the harbor. The breakfast was excellent as well to the hotel. You need to take photos of everything including the cave section of the breakfast area. This hotel was perfectly themed & I would suggest this hotel to everyone. Only one change I would do is having the restaurant as a buffet style during national holidays, depending on how many guest you will be staying. We don’t realize what will or will not be open in this country. Thank you again, do stay here. "
