"Horrendous experience! Host should be struck off your listings. The first thing he said to us was ‘hotel finished’, meaning we weren’t welcome. We assumed it was because we didn’t check in within the hour timeframe given, even though we rung the host to explain beforehand. "Very difficult to review a hotel that was closed. We arrived at 3 pm to check in. The gates were closed across the drive and there was no sign of life. Rang the hotel but surprise, surprise the number was out of service. Managed to find somewhere for 3 nights. Apparently we weren’t the first people this had happened to. Locals said it had been closed for a few months. If so, why did booking websites have it as being available? Still waiting for news of a refund 😤. "
