This place is amazing! The water slide and all the pools are incredible! The landscaping is a classy beautiful tropical garden and it lent privacy to the rooms. There is a huge gate when you enter and it will make you feel safe, taking away the unknown risks of traveling. All staff were warm and friendly. Johstyn and Maria were very helpful and answered so many questions gracefully. The staff at the restaurant are great too. Don’t pass on the shrimp ceviche at the restaurant, it has a perfect spicy citrus flavor, unlike the others that we’ve had that are too sweet. Wish we found this place earlier so that we can stay longer.

Paradise. If you’re considering booking this hotel, do it, you won’t be disappointed! So much attention to detail throughout the entire property. I must have said ‘it’s just so pretty’ HUNDREDS of times. Lol. Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The property is gated, so you have a keycard to get back in. My husband can’t go to sleep without white noise, but you literally hear the river and birds (while being bug free and having great air conditioning) and this is the first time he’s been able to sleep without his phone going. TVs have Netflix so you can just log into your account. Shower is huge! Waterfall shower head with HOT water. Great toiletries as well. Restaurant was top notch, we tried almost everything on the menu and every single thing was delicious! Staff was great, especially Ronaldo, Rolando, and Summer. We enjoyed every meal, sometimes while watching toucans jump around in the trees, and also a great view of the volcano. Included breakfast- SOO GOOD!! Fresh fruit and mixed bread come with your order. It was raining when we finished dinner one night and we were asked if we wanted a ride back to our room in a golf cart. Lol, We declined but then they insisted we take umbrellas. The staff is just so pleasant and goes out of their way to make sure you’re happy. Pools/hot tubs are just gorgeous!! Community spaces as well, there’s loungers, tables/chairs, hammocks, swings. All tucked away in different areas to always find a quiet spot. Highly recommend!!!

The customer service was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for better. The food at the restaurant was great. The pool areas were clean and beautiful. I loved everything about the stay here. One suggestion would be to move the chickens away from the gym area. They were smelly. But I would definitely recommend this place

This place is wonderful!!! The hotel is only about 5 years old, so everything is in great condition. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Camila and Maria at the front desk did a fantastic job arranging tours for us. José, Diego E., Diego H., and Axel were great at serving as both wait staff and bartenders. The food and drink is top notch, and I’m a fairly hard critic. We will be back. I’ve only been gone for a few hours and I miss it already.

We enjoyed the hotel and surrounding property very much. The individual buildings for rooms created a very private and intimate space. The flora and fauna of the Costa Rican rainforest on the property gave it an otherworldly experience. Pool was great along with the water slide. Restaurant served very good food and staff was accommodating and very courteous. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Great place with great staff.

I am giving this hotel a 4 out of 5 because of the construction that is going on at the moment. Unfortunately, our room was right above the construction. They offered a new smaller room on the other side of the complex, but we had already been there for 2 nights and didn't want to pack to move and unpack. Our room was nice and we had a hot tub on a deck. The hot tub was well maintained. The property is beautiful, but not well used. The first day we got there we went to the restaurant for a couple drinks. Literally, we spent over a $100 dollars for 4 mixed drinks. We never went back for a meal due to how over priced it was. We walked to the restaurant on the corner of the street and it was amazing. The free breakfast was OK. The hotel is located in a quiet place where you are a little out of downtown, but not to far. We had a car and I would highly recommend having one to get around.

Casa del rio tucked us away in paradise within the city!! The slide is so fun!! We rented baracuda and our accessibility to the property was amazing and enough space for a family of three and another couple. Service was amazing at the on site restaurant and Renaldo made our first night experience so fun! We’re a laid back family there to play everyday and we had our own vehicle. Getting to and from places at our location was not difficult. The front desk had amazing restaurant recommendations unlike our local guides. But our local guides were so fun, living pura vida!

Beautiful property. We stayed in a family villa which was perfect for our family of four. The on-site restaurant was delicious and the wait staff fantastic. Included breakfasts were excellent and the view of the volcano from the restaurant was stunning. We even ate there for dinner four nights out of our six as it was so convenient and had lots to choose from on the menu. The reception staff were excellent, they arranged our airport transfer, taxis into town and day trips. All in all a perfect trip. Already planning our next visit!

Loved this property for a family of five. Great option if two bedroom condo area and loved the quietness and safety. Enjoyed the water slide and pool areas. Also enjoyed the restaurant and complimentary daily breakfast. Super easy and convenient to Uber anywhere needed. Only suggestion for improvement is to include complimentary body lotion in addition to shampoo/conditioner/soap. Will remember that for next time.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at and we travel often. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was stunning (the black out shade was a fantastic touch), the grounds were beautiful: multiple pools (one with a water slide), spas, soccer field, covered rec area for basketball, exercising, etc, and so much more! The breakfast was some of the best food (and service) we’ve had throughout Costa Rica. There were beautiful views everywhere you went (and plenty of the volcano). All our tours easily offered pick up and drop off at the hotel making things incredibly easy, and there were multiple fantastic dining options just a couple minutes drive from the hotel. Had we not wanted to explore other regions, we could have easily stayed here our entire vacation! This hotel and its staff truly exceeded expectations!

This hotel had pretty rooms and the private “hot tub” room was a great treat. Just note that the hot tub is not really heated. It’s just a very pretty tile vessel that collects water from the daily rains. The shared facilities are a bit sad…think deflated basketballs, no gym machines that work, water slide that is pretty but will whack the heck out of you. Pretty grounds, good food, and super nice staff!

Beautiful secluded property, conveniently located to many of the areas attractions. Excellent service with friendly and attentive staff. Amazing restaurant with delicious free breakfast, and scenic views of Arenal
