Hidden gem on La Digue

Great place! Big, clean, affordable and the owner, she was super nice and arranged a bike for me for my entire stay. Would definitely go back.

Lovely gardens and spacious rooms. Could have done with a few more basic items pre-supplied in the kitchen, eg matches, tea, coffee, sugar etc - though the owners did supply upon request.

Klart godkänt boende. Bra att ha kontakt med dem inför tid av ankomst och incheckning då de inte har bemannad reception. Rymliga rum och bra ac. Hyr cyklar själva, det blir avsevärt mycket billigare.

Hotellet var en av de billigaste i kunde boka, så förväntningarna var inte så stora. Det är ett enklare boende, men hade allt vi behövde och låg i ett lugnt område. Har man cykel, vilket man nog ska ha på ön så är det inga problem att ta sig dit. Och affärer och restauranger ligger då inom rimligt avstånd. Att cykla iväg på kvällen till en trevlig restaurang är riktigt mysigt. Damen som äger det bor på tomten och var hjälpsam med det vi behövde. Jag skulle välja det igen, främst med tanke service i förhållande till pris.

Excellent séjour au JML Self Catering ! Appartement propre, spacieux, bonne literie, calme avec une belle terrasse donnant sur joli jardin fleuri. Environnement proche toutes commodités, situation excellente sur l'île. Possibilité de louer des vélos sur place. Très bon accueil, une propriétaire à votre écoute. Etablissement vivement recommandé.

Cette location peut vous convenir si vous savez vous adapter au caractère très particulier de la propriétaire et que vous ne revendiquez pas un entretien fiable de la chambre au quotidien.L’appartement que j’occupais au premier étage avec balcon côté forêt était agréable, mais attention à celui qui se trouve au rez-de-chaussée côté pompe, bruyant! Le site localise la location près d’Anse source d’argent, mais c’est faux, elle se trouve dans le village.

Le logement est bien situé dans un endroit calme , mais près des plages et des petites commerces et restaurants La chambre principale est très agréable. Pour cuisiner il y a ce qu’il faut mais juste le minimum Une casserole , four à micro onde , frigo, cuisinière, bouilloire. Pas de saladier ou autre grand récipient. La personne qui s’occupe du logement est très gentille et est disponible par téléphone à tout moment. Nous avons bien apprécié cet endroit.

Arrivo e la padrona non trova la mia prenotazione nonostante avessimo scambiato una serie di mail nei giorni precedenti. Mi assegna una camera completamente diversa (e ovviamente peggiore) da quella che avevo prenotato e ho dovuto mostrare non solo il voucher ma anche descrizione e foto della camera pagata per riuscire ad ottenerla. In una settimana non c'è stata MAI la pulizia della camera, il cambio delle lenzuola o degli asciugamani. Neanche l'immondizia in cucina è mai stata rimossa! inoltre la casa si trova in una stradina laterale, sterrata, lungo la quale ci sono numerosi cantieri e quindi di notte l'area non è molto abitata. In aggiunta non vi è l'illuminazione nell'isola. Non lo ritengo un posto particolarmente sicuro specie per chi viaggia da solo.

Nice apartments near Source D’Argent

Nice hotel off a side road from the main drag through La Digue. Amenities are good, with A/C, full kitchen, and ensure bathroom. Some pests in the room (millipides) But this is normal for tropical locations. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the stunning Anse Source D’Argent - well worth a visit!

A éviter !!!!

A mon arrivée à midi, personne n était sur place, j ai dû appeler (sur mon propre forfait téléphonique) la gérante qui se trouvait à Mahé et visiblement m avait oubliée. J ai dû passer une nuit dans une autre guest house jusqu au lendelain matin, bref une première journée perdue après 24 h de voyage ! L appartement en lui même, très moyen et les prestations décrites : ménage quotidien, bouteille d eau à disposition, changement des serviettes.... inexistant, j ai même manqué de papier toilette !!! La cuisine dans un état de santé déplorable, la gazinière portait encore les traces des précédentes fritures et le micro ondes affichait les empreintes digitales des 10 derniers locataires ! Pas de produit vaisselle, une seule allumette pour allumer les brûleurs de la gazinière et la vaisselle franchement pas nickel.... ne surtout pas utiliser la climatisation sous peine de se faire réprimander. Et surtout, le comportement inacceptable de la gérante envers une personne qui était venue me cuisiner un bon petit plat, l a jeté dehors en faisant un scandale dans ma propre chambre. Devant autant d événements, j ai décidé d écourter mon séjour chez JML pour la pension Fidélité qui se trouve juste à côté. La gérante a refusé de me rembourser.... un véritable cauchemar !!!!

Economy self catering off the beaten track

1. Expedia had advertised this hotel with incorrect information copied from another hotel (on beach, garden, 150sqm appartment) Even after 2 months the location was still wrong 2. Nobody knew of our coming 3. A/C is turned off while guest is gone 4. Returning from dinner we found a wet bed as water leaked through the ceiling. We complained the next day only to find our room flooded even more the next night after dinner, bed soaking wet, puddles on the floor, water dripping from several spots in the ceiling. The emergency phone numbers were not answered. We were given some excuses but any sort of compensation was refused. They still had not received money from Expedia and we should take it up with them.

A very good self-catering with kitchen and bedroom in quiet surroundings a perfect bike-distance from the jetty, shops and takeouts. Also good wifi. We had some difficulties with our reservation but hopefully the landlady has learned something from that,
