Great value and location
Just what we needed: a simple place near what we wanted to do. Tucked in a quiet neighborhood a few minutes’ walk to many shrines and temples as well as Gion, the Nishiki market and other meiten-gai. Laundry facility came in very handy, as well.

This place is fine if you’re just looking for a place to crash. There are nicer places that you pay less for. Our check-in was late as well due to their system being down.

M’s Hotel Sanjo Wakoku is in an amazing location in Kyoto, not far from the really touristy parts but still in a more residential area. Very close to buses and subway, convenient for getting anywhere. We stayed here for 6 comfortable nights. Very clean, the rooms are small but make great use of the space. A/C works great. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
