"We booked for more than a month. Initially try to book directly but when called unanswered then we decided to use EXPEDIA. Then again try to call the resort just to reassure our booking got through. Again nobody picks up the call. WhatsApp messages were late response and information was not completed as needed. "Not the most soundproof place. As it’s on the same street with various bars and restaurants, be prepared to have live music permeating through the walls until 11pm. Besides that, the place is okay. Just the floor is not cleaned. "

"Much better area of Lahad Datu, compared to town closer to airport. Lots of small shops and a good supermarket below hotel. Area feels relatively safe and we enjoyed the Night Market for dinner (although we were very much a spectacle for locals who are not used to tourists). "Here you get a small cheap room with not much nearby. Couldn’t find a beer at night. The small room was clean and the staff were nice. There’s no lift/elevator so if you’re on the 2nd floor or higher it’s just up and down the stairs. No phone in the room so every time you have a question for the front desk you have to go down the 2 or 3 flights of stairs. I was just there 1 night so it wasn’t much of a problem. Not sure what else is available in Lahad Datu."

"This resort feels like a five star property. It’s a peacefully get away to an old palm oil plantation. It seems like the perfect place to start an artist colony, a research center, or to write a book. It would definitely be a great place for a wedding, or a family reunion. It is very affordable, but has no WiFi, and the cell service is intermittent. "I paid to Merchant room rate is so much higher than hotel rate. Room facility very old and spoiled aircon and need to shift room middle of the night.hard to get car park around, cause us paid parking penalty rm150. Unclear TV channel. Not worthy to paid for RM260 pernight!!! Very disappointed! "

Good accommodation for Lahad Datu

"Much better area of Lahad Datu, compared to town closer to airport. Lots of small shops and a good supermarket below hotel. Area feels relatively safe and we enjoyed the Night Market for dinner (although we were very much a spectacle for locals who are not used to tourists). Unsafe and run down. Not recommended.

Bed was horrible, towels and sheets not clean. Cracks in wall paper and bathroom in terrible condition. Staff didnt speak much english, so check in was difficult and gave no information about room, hotel or area. It may be cheap, but you can do a lot better for similar money. Recommend looking elsewhere in the newer area of Lahad Datu (My Inn)"
