Worth a try
The hostel is very new and spacious. It is a bit off the main streets but has a few restaurants and a (high end) supermarket around the corner. The managers were helpful and concerned when I pointed out my mattress had some residues from previous guests. Otherwise, it was very cleaan. There is a giant TV in the sitting room and it is very popular with Russian travellers so it was a bit too noisy if you wanted to do any computer usage that required concentration. They often arrived quite late and were noisy. Fortunately, during the day you could use tables in the rooms but not so comfortbly. The breakfast was basic.

A Good Hostel on the Trans-Siberian
The hostel was very good value for the money. The room was fairly big and everything is brand new. Staff themselves are very nice and they helped when we needed to do laundry. The main issues with the room were just noise and heat. There was construction across the street so sleeping in wasn't an option. The room itself doesn't have an air conditioning unit so in the summer heat things got pretty muggy and made it hard to sleep. Otherwise it's a great stay along the Trans-Siberian and a convenient walk or Yandex taxi ride to most of the key things to see in town.

Booked online, went there, but there is no hostel! Asked every local, tried to call the hostel itself, no reply. Don't book this hostel!
