I would go back
The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The check-in was quick and the checkout was quicker. There was an issue at first with the wifi but it was fixed later. They provided drinking water and hot water. At least you can have an instant coffee in morning before leaving.
The room was so tiny that with 4 adults we’re tripping on each other. Forget it if u have a medium size luggage. Even with us just having carry ons you end up putting ur stuff on top of the bed. The bathroom is so tiny that you can do ur business, brush ur teeth, and shower all at the same time. The space between each bed is about a foot so you can’t even walk to the side of the bed if someone is there. You just have to get in and out from the foot of one of the beds and on the side of the other bed. The whole are is below living standard and forget about using the elevators. Very pricey for $190/day. The only saving grace is ur right at the heart for shopping and near the ferry.
It was great at first clean room then the sink over flowed. I didn't know if it was sewage or not. It took them 12 hrs to respond and then another day to give me a room. The room they gave me didn't have a working TV. I was going to stay another day until that happened.
The room was gross. There were bugs on the bed and the whole room was wet, including the bed and bedding. We have stayed in some inexpensive places all over, including Vietnam, Indonesia and Ecuador, but this is hands down the worst. Under unforseen time constraints we accepted the room but we found a different place to sleep. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars and finding a decent place. As with all hostels, make sure you check the room before you pay. Also the check in is on the third floor, so don't waste 10 mins waiting for the fireman's elevator because you went straight to the seventh floor where the hostel is.
Very little hot water. Very not stable. Not good in such cold winter's day.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Convenient
I would not recommend anyone to stay the place is so dirty as you enter the building the room was ok.
On the day when we arrived we didn't get the hostel that we booked.
Gave us difrent hostel.
After we check in we went to sleep some one knocked on the door we didn't answer he had the keys so he entered the room I was not happy went to complain to the manager that I don't want anyone to come in my room not even for cleaning if I need anything I will ask.
Anyway I would not recommend this hostel.
A sad experience in Hong Kong thanks to Hotels.com
This hotel was very deceiving in its posting by Hotels.com. You do not get what you book. I tried a few times to have Hotels.com arrange for a room that I had booked as described in my booking but they never called me back!
the environment very terrible

Budget HOSTEL/GUESTHOUSE with small rooms
Notice that this is a budget hostel/guesthouse, NOT a hotel.
A very affordable basic place to stay a few nights
Don't consider any of the hostels/guesthouses in this location if you are easily intimidated by Indian/middle-eastern sales guys. Along with long term guests, they are rude and annoying.
The rooms and facility are very clean and I found the English speaking staff to helpful and friendly.
The sheets and towels were very old/stained so consider using your own.
There are security cameras everywhere.
You have your own toilet/shower in the small room but some of the amenities like the fridge and microwave are shared.
The hostel is located in a run-down Indian shopping centre with dozens of stores and restaurants.
Especially the guys trying to sell fake watches/bags/taxis/suits are very intimidating.
Elevators are extremely crowded and it can take a while before it's your turn to go up.
The stairs are an alternative option but the stench is horrific (not the fault of the hostel because they don't maintain the stairs).
Locating the hostel was hard. No signs outside and there are about a hundred guesthouses/hostels in the same building.
Exit the 'Tsim Tsa Tsui' MRT station, look for the building with the large TV billboard.
Below you find the building name 'Chung King Mansions'. Enter this building and walk straight all the way to the end. Go to the right 50 meters and you should see an elevator on your right. You might have to go to the main reception on the 3F.
I visited Hong Kong for 3 days. I booked to stay at Canadian Hostel because it was cheap. Unfortunately, after trying so hard to find the location of the hostel, my friends and I were really disappointed about the nature of the place and its surroundings
1. It was not located where the address said it was, instead, it was on 4 levels down
2. the bed sheets and pillowcases were covered in stains, which the people said were from bleach
3. the shower was above the toilet, so showering was annoying when the toilet always got wet
4. the air-conditioner was useless, considering it only leaked water and didn't really cool the place
5. Elevators up and down from the ChungKing Mansion was really slow, best to take the fire exit stairs, although it smells a bit
We booked 2 triple rooms for 8 nights stay, however as soon as we checked in the hostel we wanted to move out straight away, and we did move out the next day as we found a much better place to stay. We forfeited 7 nights accommodation because we couldn't stand it. Be careful with this place because it's no where near what it looks in the photos.
We don't mind room being small as we know rooms in HK are small, but this place has the worse facilities ever. The towels and bed linen are dirty. Blanket and pillows have weird smell, air-con leaks water, the elevator is small and stinks. The shower is above the toilet seat so it all gets wet. The only way to open your suitcases is on the bed. The stairwells smell of urine with some homeless men sleeping on the floor. I can't name everything but I have nothing good to say about this place!
This is the most terrifying thing I can imagine staying in. To get to the front desk you have to navigate through a maze in a sketchy strip-mall thing. This market/mall is chaotic and confusing and it felt generally unsafe. Once you get to the floor with the hostel, the hallway is run down and disgusting. The stairway had a couple of homeless people sleeping in it and had FECES spread on the walls. I had book an entire week here, but after seeing all of this I ate the cost and stayed elsewhere. The rooms may indeed look acceptable like the photos (I never checked in to see), but the building and the hallways make it completely unwise to stay here. Do yourself a huge favor and find a different place to stay in Hong Kong.
Paid extra money to get room for three even if we were two because we already stayed in another room in Mirador Mansion for two which was way too small for two people. Don't waste money because they give you the same room without the fridge but a small single bed instead. So we had no fridge even if stated included in our reservation. Disgusting smell coming from bedsheet. Otherwise room was clean. Reception is stated to be on 7th floor but no one there. Had to go down to 3rd floor and took stairs after waiting 10 min for the lift to come up. Stairs were so horrible and DISGUSTING.....
Dirty and dangerous we cannot stay in this hotel. The room is very small and only few elevator access with a very long queue. The staff is not freindly looks like a gangster

Very central
The hotel was a cheap and simple affair with very small rooms. Bags tuck under the bed (plenty of room there) with a small private bathroom and shower. There is complimentary hot and cold water and coffee. The food scene around the building at night is amazing though the stairwell of the chunking mansion itself is really grimy and often occupied by homeless people. If this bothers you its best to use the lift. The staff at the hostel are very helpful and accommodating and really make the stay.

Small rooms, but great extras!
Extremely small room and cramped bathroom. However, the friendliness of staff, good-free WiFi, early check-in, bag storage facility and general helpfulness of the staff more than made up for the size.
it's dangerous around there. I don't feel safe when i lived in this chungking building.
the room is not well organize, I don't even have a space to open my baggage.
sometime hot water is not working and when whether is cold it is a nightmare.
The room was very small as expected, but the sheets were dirty. I would not stay there again because of that. The location is great and the internet is good high speed, but I would choose a different place in Chungking over this one.
