"We are at the end of our private tour of Sri Lanka. We booked all accom from Australia. The most consistent service issue across all accommodation regardless of price point or star rating is the inordinately slow service! Whether drinks or food slow service is endemic across Sri Lanka and unfortunately the cinnamon grand is no different. Staff always try to be helpful however this is the first hotel experience where staff seem unhappy. Just to be clear what we are talking about is the time taken...

"I fell in love as soon as I booked it but when I actually checked in I was thrown back!! This house is a true gem, walking in through the gate you don’t see the house right away so I was second guessing my choice. It’s a hidden gem and a true paradise. I was so impressed from the design to the staff to the service just overall amazing. Highly recommend it. they also own the restaurant before you enter the gate which has more food options so dining there was also great. Breakfast was wow!! Trust me 5 star indeed!! "
