"The property is in an incredible location with breathtaking views. Even though it’s on a public beach, it still felt super exclusive and private. The staff were absolutely amazing at making us feel welcome and taking care of us. The hospitality was top-notch fromthe duty manager, to every single staff member, including the restaurant staff who went above and beyond to pamper us. One of the chefs, was incredible. They made dishes that weren’t even on the menu, and they tasted way better than anything I’ve ever had before. In the end, they were the friendliest and most hospitable staff we’ve ever had, and they made our stay absolutely incredible."

"Highly recommended!! The location is great, my room was spacious and well equipped, the food is plentiful and delicious and all the staff are happy, friendly and totally adorable!! If you're staying over Christmas/New Year, the extra effort with decorations and evening schedules is really lovely - the best I've experienced. "Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty especially during peak usage but the view, the sea, sun and sand make up for it. Food service maybe slow at peak times but you need to understand that food is made to order and NOT premade. Breakfast is a delicious spread of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, with a good selection of breads, fruits and juices. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel."

"Nice and beautiful environment "

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! Very good service, excellent breakfasts & evening meal. There is a train line running along the bottom of the garden and the train clanks along it every hour or so. We loved the quirkiness of it. Its a gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary. Beautiful beach is just over the railway line. There are bars along the beach to the left for a lunchtime wander & food, and also great places to eat along the beach to the right in Bentota (or short tuk-tuk ride). I would happily come back here anytime!"
