"I decided to stay here as part of a Finland trip and the Radisson Blu did not disappoint. I understand it was renovated a few years back and it’s been done to a high spec. Staff were extremely helpful, polite and courteous and I felt well looked after. Oulu is a very pretty city and the people are very welcoming. "

"The front desk was extremely helpful to us...we were having problems with our phone's gps in finland. They did all they could to help us adjust. My one reservation is that this hotel does not allow guests to use the HDMI connection to watch their own programming (the only Scandic that did this) and offer no explanation. Also, although there is plenty of light weight English speaking programming, there is no English speaking NEWS. No explanation offered. Good restaurant on premises. Good...

"Easy to drive to entrance, parking available in garage, and the dinner recommendation was fantastic. Walks in both evening and early morning a great addition. Fun to see downtown Oulu. Room worked well for the three of us, and breakfast was very good."

"So so nice, relaxing, and very comfortable. The room was well thought out and had all and more you need and want and was still felt very comfortable. "I was in the main building just off the breakfast area / restaurant. The included breakfast buffett was good and hearty. I happened to be in Oulu when it was warm and the in room air conditioner that you needed to exhaust to the outside manually was one item that some may not care for, but I had not problem with. The place had charm and the staff was really awesome"

"You must pre-check through email. My email was not working. I arrived onsite but could not check in, even after speaking to the hotel's management company and emailing a selfie and a picture of my passport from my wife's email address. I waited in the parking lot for an hour trying to check in but was not allowed entry. And the hotel told me that I had to still pay for the night. AVOID! "

"This place has been around in one form or another for many years, and the experience of the staff shines through. A welcoming afternoon tea and a sumtuous breakfast were just two of the standouts. The beds were excellent and the facilities all in good working order. Would happily stay there again if visiting the region."
