"Location is good, right next to Kyoto station and the attached 7-Eleven is as always very useful. Check-in process was not good. We were instructed to use the check-in kiosk while there were people at the main desk not attending to anyone, which felt dismissive. "We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. It's a nice blend of traditional Japanese and western needs. We also took advantage of the 9-11pm complementary ramen, a nice pre-bedtime snack. The room was very nice, clean, and a good size. The only thing we caution is that the mattress was hard and the pillows aren't substantial, so if you're sensitive to that, bring your own pillow. We didn't eat breakfast here, but it looked good! Because of the tatami floors, you take off your shoes and walk in your socks, so be prepared for that."
