"The friendly and very helpful staff at the Dewa made our stay perfect! We rented scooters and explored all over the area, many cool restaurants and funny bars and dispensaries around nearby. And waterfalls to check out too. With the scooters you can get much more of a picture of local life also, you can take side roads. Really fun. "Amazing resort! So clean and well kept! Staff was amazing! Free breakfast was great but after 8 days we wish there were a few more options! Our villa with the private pool was heaven and the views from all over the property are amazing. The bed was hard for our liking but it didn’t spoil our trip! Options for a softer topper would have been perfect! Loved how we were walking distance to everything on lonely beach."

"We loved the location, service, sea views and common areas of this property. Even though there isn’t a beach to relax on, chairs and tables along the shoreline allow beautiful and relaxing views, especially at sunset. You can sit by the pool, in the gardens, or on the bar deck next to the shore. Easy walk to a few shops, bars and restaurants. Pleasant breakfast too. "

"Vi havde et fantastisk ophold hos Ban Mae Resort. Vores bungalow var stor med både soveværelse, bagagerum, badeværelse og terrasse. Stedet ligger langt fra touristresorterne på øens vestside, men servicen var i top! Der er fantastisk natur, dyreliv og en lille kiosk ved vejen. Vi kunne leje kanoer og padle til fine sandstrande, vi stort set havde for os selv. Maden var god. "Pen was phenomenal. English-speaking and very helpful getting taxis and answering questions. Pen made our stay wonderful. This is a beautiful resort in the middle of nowhere, which was just the getaway we were looking for. We did get a taxi to White Sand Beach one day and I was glad we didn’t stay there because it was too touristy. At night at Parama, all you can hear are birds and frogs. Paradise. "

"the Island is full of ants, bugs, mosquito, gecko, dogs etc. & this house is a very good example of all of that. I had to buy several chemical product to disinfect the whole house but i couldn't kill them all they keep coming back from everywhere. I'turn on the air-con & dead lizard come out from it & land on the pillow below, with a bleeding head & a moving tail. no reception or housekeeping, a guy show up every few days only to change the towels. The house is very empty, not even toilet...

"This place might’ve looked great in his heyday, but not anymore. The version you see in the advertisement photos is not what you find when you arrive. We found a rundown version where many things didn’t work as they should. We booked the “Grande Deluxe” room, their most expensive. In that room, we found debris and construction materials leftovers. When we mentioned that the bathtub was not working, they claimed it was not mentioned in Expedia’s posting; thus, they had no obligation to repair it (?). We then asked to be transferred to a similar room where the bathtub did work. Their surrealist answer was that we would need to pay extra for the “upgrade.” We tried to explain that they could NOT upgrade us because we were in their most expensive room. To no avail; they insisted on saying we should pay to have a working bathtub. On the upside, their staff was friendly and well-mannered. The food was good, and the pool area was delightful. On balance, I would not recommend it."

"I came here for our honeymoon the place is amazing, All staff where every polite, friendly and accepting any questions or issues you have dealt with quickly Food was amazing complement to the chef, bar staff great fun. Nice relaxing holiday just what me and my husband need, to on wind from London life Thank you for making this holiday so special. Will miss this place, Grendy x"
