A convenient, reasonably priced stopover. The room and bathroom were a good size and had been updated. It was quiet and comfortable. We didn’t eat as the bar was rather tired and noisy. Dogs are welcome.
Handy for the railway station (just across the road). Really clean. Fixtures, fittings, decor not up to standard. Welcome was lack lustre from the guy behind the bar. They have a front desk but it is unmanned. I discovered the main light bulb in room needed changing late evening when it got dark - no one around. The door (when locked) doesn't look like it would keep anyone out and the windows (that are capable of opening) don't fasten shut. One curtain hanging off and curtains don't close completely. Bed uncomfortable. Decent seating area with two arm chairs (the leg fell off one when I moved it!). The place looks generally uncared for although it is clean as was the bedding and towels. The bathroom had seen better days but functioned well and I the shower worked well (free tube of shower gel)
Property is in good location and in nice condition. Room was clean. However, no many aminities like shampoo or even the WiFi that we never got in our room. Parking is supposed to be included but we were told to park somewhere else on the street. Overall I think is too expensive for what you get.
There were items belonging to the previous occupants under the bed and in the drawers, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned.
The curtains didn’t cover the window alcove so the light wasn’t blocked. The room was very poorly appointed in general. We were moved to another room which was better and had a comfortable bed.
When we returned from an early evening walk, we found the front door was locked.
It was a very bad experience and I would not recommend staying here.
No staff around as wanted to complain about bed. Bed was broken on arrival with a dent in middle very uncomfortable to sleep on not helping my bad back.

Compared to the other accommodation available in the area, the silverfjord was good value.
It wasnt overly expensive so expectations were low. Arrived at around 9pm and not surprisingly kitchen closed. Breakfast was only 9 to 10.30 and had to be ordered the night before so that also didnt work for us and it was clear there was no other options. Worst part was the mattress, it was shot! No support at all and I got very little sleep as I couldn't get comfortable. Not expensive to replace a mattress and is a key element for a good nights sleep.

Can't complain at the price
After a day in the hills and 2 nights camping was a decent meal, comfortable bed and a nice shower for good price
