"First time staying here it’s a very nice place. Warm welcome on arrival with the information required for an enjoyable stay. I even received a phone call asking was everything in my room ok? Lovely riverside view shame it’s a cold February morning or it would be perfect. Lots of onsite parking. Great in room amenities. Food was flavoursome and well presented with great service. Comfy room. Highly recommended. "

"Lovely old building with nicely appointed accommodation. Lovely touches in the rooms, including local snacks and robes. Pool in the Spa was a little on the chilly side but otherwise a great stay!"

"Lovely staff, lovely room and food was good but not brilliant. I had said that I would pay at hotel, when I got there they said the room was paid for but I had to pay for parking which I did. I checked my bank account just before we left and couldn’t see payment for the room , so when we left I asked at reception if they had payment. They said that it would be taken off the card that I had used to book which was also the one I used for the parking. Later that day I got an email to say that my room hadn’t been paid for I phoned them and was told that there was problem with their system and from what I could gather this had happened before. If that is the case then they really ought to get their systems sorted "

"My mum and I had a lovely stay at Ardoe! Our room was great, and we enjoyed drinks in the drawing room; the bartender was brilliant. Our meal was also fantastic, highly recommend treating yourself in their restaurant although they do also have bar meals. The only downside is that the swimming pool hosts so many lessons and also seems to attract a lot of local families, so we didn't have many opportunities to use the pool. We had to get up really early to use it before lessons started, but facilities are nice and the sauna is excellent. I recommend checking the schedule on arrival so you can plan around it."
