"We chose this Hampton Inn as we were traveling on short notice and there were barely any two bed rooms left at any area hotels. We normally stay at another nearby hotel. This hotel was cheaper and the room was smaller but it was fine. Our room did not have a real closet, which was odd and a bit annoying. "The building is well maintained, there was no cigarette smell as is often the case in "non-smoking" hotels. When we arrived to check in, we passed staff members during their smoke break near the entrance. The smoking there was not a problem for us. We waited only briefly until staff entered and helped us. "I had a slight issue when I checked in, but the hotel Manager has since written me a letter explaining the details of what happened. Also, The gentleman that was on duty, when I checked in moved me to another room and I was happy with that. When I come to Dover Delaware, that’s usually my go to hotel of choice and I’ve had no problems throughout the years."

Met a good standard

"Night clerk was prompt and efficient in getting me situated with my room. The room was clean, and the bed was a king size, with comfortable pillows and linens. Comfortable quilt. Room had amenities. Only the sink plug was a minor issue ( not connected to the handle. A nicer set of soap and shampoo could improve the experience, but its not a 5 star hotel. A reasonable value "
