The room was very spacious and slept up to six in real beds. We loved that there was a separate upstairs with two beds, large closet and sitting area. The location was super convenient to both town and the West Bay Inn for sunsets.

I love everything about this place, the view, accessibility to near by restaurants, rooms were huge, and the most important and awesome thing was the best sunset views I have ever saw is just 30 meters away from my room

This place is amazing !!

We loved our stay. Our hotel room was PERFECT in every way. The water was across the street and we enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs watching the waves. I would definitely recommend Kelleys Island Venture Resort to friends and family.

Perfect weekend getaway

The hotel is right on the lake with pool and lake views from every room. It’s clean, has friendly staff, & everything you need. Great location. My kids loved it. Will be back!

We enjoyed our resort room so much that we booked an extra night‼️Our room was very large and comfortable and our view was perfect. Management was extra nice and accommodating from check in to check out. We look forward to staying here again.

We stayed in April for the eclipse, so it was preseason. I would love to come visit during the summer when the island will be in full swing. The accommodations are a bit dated but clean, and in a great location with a biew of the lake.

We loved the room with three queens and the view was fabulous!! We are definitely re-booking before end of summer. They even accommodated storing our electric bikes!!! So nice staff! The “only” annoying thing was a loud noise from pool filter nonstop….was hard to tolerate with the beautiful setting 🙁

Being on Lake Erie is very nice. Kelleys island is quaint and well worth a visit. Interior is in need of updates and new carpeting. Lighting is very poor, especially around the pool. Understaffed. Bicycles used to be available here and bugs used to be swept from the exterior by former owner of property.

The resort was easy to find and the employees at the front desk were knowledgeable and informative to what was going on the island (an island race with road closures). The cleanliness of the room was lacking with a wet stain on the bathroom floor and crumbs being left on the bedroom floor as well. The mattress was older having indents left from previous guests.

Basic property in a nice location. This is a two- story motel style lodging. I'm not sure what resort refers to. There is a hot tub and pool that weren't open because it was before season. It has a small deck on the lake across the street. This is an older, dates property that's well maintained with nice grounds. Onsite staff is minimal. You'll have to call an offsite call center for most things. It is the only motel style lodging on the island.

The Venture Resort has a great location, comfortable rooms and a nice pool and hot tub, and we’ve stayed here a number of times over the years. However, over the past two years there’s been a noticeable decline in the upkeep of the grounds, the building exterior and the hotub and pool. The building exterior, stairwells and balcony chairs were covered in bugs, the once lovely grounds looked neglected, the large pool area had very worn furnishings with only one umbrella and the pool and hot tub were quite dirty. It was sad to see this once beautiful property looking so run down. On the flip side, the Venture Resort still has it’s great location, our room was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

We've been to Kelleys many times, and we've always been interested in staying at the resort. My wife and I decided to stay there for a night to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was friendly and accomodating, and we didn't voice any concerns due to the short nature of our stay, but I will say this. Others have observed a lack of light in the suites, and that still appears to be the case. To make the suites more functional a bathroom should be added to the second floor. There needs to be working fans in the shower area. Cleaning staff covered most of the bases but left debris in some places, didn't clean out the coffee maker or ice bucket, etc. Both the vending machine and ice machine were out of order, but staff accomodated the later with a bag of ice in their freezer. In general some updates would go a long way, which is why I didn't give it five stars but we enjoyed our visit overall.

The hotel was very nice a bit out of date and a little expensive, but it was on an island, the staff was great and let my family who was camping use the pool. Since it was the only choice on Kelly’s Island I would stay agian.
