"I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights on end Jan. The weather was warm at that week. I had opened windows during day and night time. The air conditioner was not working and hence I was sweating while I was sleeping. In addition, it was very noisy during the evening because the hotel is facing the main road for traffic. I am not able to sleep well in my whole trip"

"it was cost-effective because i took it after leaving an hotel and wanted a place to rest fot 1-2 hours. When I saw that the bed was clean I even slept a while. My only problem was that the room had bad smell although one guest was sleeping there. Air conditioning was not working and no ventilation in the room. Only to open the window. "

Best view!

"Marriott overlooking the Danube river is the best. You can never have any better view of the Danube river and the Buda Palace than from this hotel. The views especially at night is so worth it! The staffs at the concierge and restaurants are so friendly and accommodating."

"My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day/3 night stay at the Oktogon Haggenmacher to celebrate our wedding anniversary. First of all the hotel is visually stunning, the rooms are clean and well appointed too. We opted for a top floor double superior room with breakfast included. The breakfast itself was delicious with a wide selection of food available. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the Danube and surrounding attractions, I would suggest buying a city card as this allows you to use all of the trams, buses and metros - and the system is very good indeed. There are stops just outside the hotel so you really can get anywhere easily. Finally, the staff where friendly and helpful and their English, and other languages,were excellent. I would have no issues in recommending this hotel, thank you to all who made our stay so enjoyable."
