"The service and especially the food was of the highest class. The ryokan’s public pools are small but you are given a pass which gives you free access to public bathhouses in the town. The location is a bit away from the town centre but a free shuttle bus is provided."

"Lovey ryokan in a great location in Kinosaki onsen. Beautifully styled rooms. Excellent service and location. Peaceful and quiet and close to the station. Would recommend. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and a really great experience. "

"This was such a greay stay. It seemed family owned and the room was massive for Japan! So very clean, incredibly friendly, cutest yukata, and one of my favorite stays of many nights during my Japan trip. Can't recommend this one enough. "

"Nishimuraya Honkan was one of the most incredible hotels I've stayed at, a real highlight in our trip to Japan. The room was fantastic as were the hotel facilities (which include a great onsen) and the team too. The kaiseki dinners in the room were utterly incredible and the Japanese breakfast each day was a delight. We loved it."

"The property is a real gem. A bit dated but don't let that put you off. Great location, amazing traditional breakfast, great little public bath and super nice staff. Just remember to take your shoes off before entering."

"足の悪い母親がいたので、お風呂が、地下2階にありました、エレベーターは地下１回までしか行かず、階段を利用しまいた。しかし、後は、全てにおいて満点です。料理、接客、女将は最高です。また、是非利用したいです。 "

"This was the highlight of our trip to Japan! The hotel is stunning. The manager went above & beyond on multiple occasions, personally escorting us to restaurants around the town and even helping us book bus tickets to get back to Tokyo! The rooms are spacious, clean & beautiful. They had great amenities including a Dyson hairdryer & free laundry which was a lifesaver for us! The breakfast was delicious as well. We loved it here and can't wait to come back!"

"The host is very nice, and the two dinners we paid for are good and value for money. The only problem was no hot water in the toilets for washing hands at the second floor where we stayed. The ski place is just outside the hotel, so it is very convenient. ."

"Amazing staff and service everyone was so nice. Amazing hospitality. We loved everyone and everything about this place. The rooms are very nice and super clean and big apartments. The town is amazing with great food options and things to try. But honestly what made this place shine was the people. Hot springs are very nice especially out door one sitting while you see the river in front of you. For sure will book again for this experience if I am in Japan next time."

"This is such a beautiful location, and the home is well-maintained and decorated with care. When we arrived, four pairs of slippers were waiting for us, just as if we were staying in a traditional ryokan or machiya. We felt welcomed as invited guests. The guide covered most of the operational questions we would have had, and the pictorial on-site book answered most others. The ocean-facing patio also had outdoor slippers and while it was too cool to go in the ocean, the outdoor shower located...

"The hotel is in a beautiful location but if you want to go into town it’s a very long walk. Hotel offers shuttle service but limited schedule to return. Very few taxis available. The staff is very helpful to accommodate you but you must plan in advance. The onsen in the hotel is very nice with stunning ocean views."
