"The staff really make this hotel something special. Everyone wr met was kind and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, we had two very had nights sleep, but this was due to four adjacent rooms being shared by a large familywho had no respect for other guests and allowed their children race screaming along the corridor unitl after midnight whilst the adults had a party slamming doors with loud conversations in the corridor. "Amazing beds and pillows, great rest and sleep. Location requires vehicle but 5 to 10 mins away from the malls.Walking to the malls is winding easier to grab a car. Reeption and lobby looks normal but the rooms are amazing huge and clean."

"Our stay at the Areca was not typical for us. Yet we enjoyed the nods to the building’s history with the furnishings in our heritage room and loved the courtyard! However, a week was a little too long in this style of accommodation with no windows in the room. There were only dark wood shutters that opened to bars on the outside, which seems typical in the historic shop house design. "Room was small, but yet spacious enough for two twin beds. Bathroom was clean n updated, altho the lighting can improve as it was a little dark. Was surprised to find bath robes n umbrellas in the closet provided as well as bedroom slippers. Nice jacuzzi on the roof top, and breakfast there too"

"This is my second time stay at the hotel. Service is excellent as usual and my kids enjoy the breakfast buffet spread. However the towels are not as clean as the last round. "
