"The hotel is beautifully designed and maintained. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The location was quite a shock as the hotel is situated in a 2 km stretch of restaurants, souvenir shops, and noisy clubs across from the beach. We would have preferred a quaint setting in the Old Town."

The beach is less than 10 min walk down the street; is nice and not too crowded, where I went twice in my 8 night stay as in the rest I went in excursions. "Overall we enjoyed our stay at Portou House. Our room was on the top floor. There was some hanging space but not a lot of storage other than one drawer. The bed was really comfortable and toiletries and a hairdryer were peovided. The room would benefit from soundproofing as there was a bit of noise from a nearby restaurant, however this did not spoil our stay. The rooms are in a great location. We would definitely return. "

"Excellent stay here. Breakfast was in included and really good. There was a restaurant at night and we really enjoyed the food. Rooms were comfortable but on the smaller side. Staff was amazing and very accommodating, beds were hard and they is down thing I think the owners should improve. Very walkable neighborhood. Beaches were 5 minutes away. Parking was easy to find. "George the the bellhop was extremely helpful , friendly, and gave us some recommendations on our route to see a few of the closest beaches. The hotels in a great location close to the port with plenty of really good food. Options parking was very convenient and breakfast was really delicious. Would stay again."

"The hotel itself is lovely and has beautiful amenities. The transport every 30 minutes to downtown Chania is a wonderful add-on, and the front desk people were all professional and had amazing service. My partner stayed here last year and this year again, and likely we will be staying next year "

"Location of sublime! Tons of restaurants nearby, really good ones too. Lots of shopping as well. Breakfast buffet was very impressive, top quality and exceptional. My only issue was that the room was very small and more suitable for one person, not two. Otherwise, an excellent option. Private parking as well which we appreciated."
