"Lovely hotel, good breakfast. Only complaint was the extra bed in our room for our son was awful. Really creaky with a wafer thin mattress. Other than that would recommend, nice area with lots of restaurants in walking distance."

"The hotel is an early 20th century building (I think) with the style of the belle epoch and our room had wonderful high ceilings and tall windows with a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a good sized desk and fridge, but no kettle. Wifi was good and the first time in Croatia we were actually able to connect reliably. The facilities at the hotel are excellent, the wellness area with the sauna with the most incredible view - not to be missed. "We were originally booked for 2 nights and extended it to 4. The hotel and Opatija were perfect for taking it easy and enjoying nature. The hotel is everything that the photographs depict. Having breakfast on our private terrace was to die for! The staff is friendly and efficient. One day we rented a car and drove to Motovun in the Istria Peninsula which was very enjoyable. Driving in that area was easy."
