The lounge downstairs was incredible and we found ourselves hanging out down there instead of our rooms. We loved it so much I looked to see if London has similar places. "The room was beautiful. One of the reasons we chose to upgrade was for the roll top bath but the bathroom was really cold. The whole room was pretty cold but the bathroom floor was very cold. We were due to get robes and slippers but only had 1 pair so had to share. Im assuming it's cold due to the windows being old with them wanting to keep with the traditional feel but you shouldn't feel too cold to get changed when you're staying in a nice hotel. Great Hotel

"Stayed here 4 or 5 times durig my daughters time at the Uni doing her Masters. This was for the Graduation. Rooms are very nice particularly liked this last one. Dont be put off because its slightly out of the city, the bus service is excellent with at least 3 different buses and both bus stops in/out are literally outside the hotel and it takes 5 to 7 minutes. A late taxi back was only £7.50. Hoping I get the excuse to stay here again. Staff couldnt be more helpful, I was genuinely sad to leave this time in case it is my last stay as my daughter will probably have a city based 2 bed apartment with parking. Finally parking, nice secure tree covered car park but its increased from £10 per day September 2023 to £15 per day January. Not a deal breaker but a longer stay and its probably going to cost the same as an extra night "
