"This hotel was a last minute life saver, from an BnB gone wrong scenario! We chose the “King Suite”. It was just what we needed! It has its own kitchen set up, utensils, cookware, etc. It has a comfy, couch in living room area. A/C is powerful for hot days, yet plenty of hot water, for a relaxed shower! Decent breakfast for a very affordable rate! Parking included upon request, and nice pool! Cleaned daily by staff. Front desk staff will provide you with whatever you need. Taxi service, tour...

"Very pretty pool and courtyard and pleasant, sunny breakfast area. Convenient to airport and quick taxis available as needed. The "deluxe" rooms toward the back looked much nicer than the older style room we had but it was fine for one night. I think the little Mayan ruin toward the back might even be real! Interesting and friendly place. "

Old world beauty.

"The Gran Hotel is perfectly located to walk to so many wonderful eateries and places of interest. With that comes a bit of noise, as I was in a room that faced the square. The hotel exudes old world charm. There are many interesting features, such as the wonderful marble stairs and large wood doors. My bed was a bit firm but I liked that. As the building is old there were many evident repairs but the room was clean, no dust, just a few mosquitos in the sink. The AC worked perfectly and there was great water pressure in the shower (just not warm enough for me.). The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and everyone I met in the hotel was friendly. There are several comfortable sofas and chairs grouped along the large open landings outside the rooms, to sit and talk. If, like me, you love the beauty of old world opulence then this hotel is for you."
