"The first room (No. 20) that we were placed in was disgusting. There was black mould in one corner of the room, the bathroom door did not close as it was swollen with water, there were burn marks on the sink and half of the shower control was broken. This room should not be used in its present condition. "For the price the room and facilities were great. The room was large with an adjoining bathroom which had a separate toilet. The bathroom was huge with a double sink. The art deco theme runs through the hotel and it is very beautiful in the bar restaurant area. Food must be good as it appeared to be all locals eating there. "We had a lovely stay here. When we arrived we were told we could keep our 2 motorcycles in the hotel garage. The people on reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and always had a smile. There is a lovely walled garden at the rear where we ate breakfast. The location of the hotel is great too. There is a Greek restaurant 2 minutes away and many other restaurants within a very short walk. Id definitely recommend this hotel which is full of character "

"The room was very comfortably. Beds nice, shower great. Very quiet (village like). The minus side is that hotels didn't give me the code of the hotel to do the check in so i struggled a bit with that but theres a button to call and they helped me right away. "Great location for the Eurostar and centre of town a short walk away. The room was ideal with a very comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast room on 1st floor had a wide selection of quality cereals, fruit, bread,croissants and some hot food selections. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B centre mons (ex lido). There is a launderette just up the street, open 24/7, tokens on sale for machines inside"
