"We wanted to be near the beach but not pay beachfront prices. It was the off-season and this was perfect cost-wise. It is not really walkable to the beach but was situated well near Henderson Beach and the one by The Crab Trap, about 5 min drive from either. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Hot breakfast with fresh fruit was great. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Wish it had a view of the beach and was walkable to it. We didn't try out the pool or fitness center because of time. "Very convenient location to entertainment, shopping, restaurants and the beach. Parking is very limited and challenging. We weren't aware there was construction going on at the property with sidewalk repairs during our stay. It was quite noisy at times. The very comfortable beds made up for the daytime noise!"

"Southern Vacation Rental frequently communicated well. The property is well maintained - everyone friendly. It was nice to have the basics provided in the unit to get started. The pool guy even took time to smile and say a friendly "good morning.""

"The condo itself and the location was beautiful! The beach is gorgeous. But not enough restaurants and bars near by. Destin is cold! Next time we have to go farther south because we went for time out from cold michigan winter/spring and Destin is best in summer. Otherwise, we would have re- booked for next year, and for a longer time. "
