"Very clean, friendly caring staff"

"We had a really lovely 1 night stay, it was a beautiful room which was clean, spacious and had complimentary toiletries and biscuits ready on our arrival. The following morning we had the American Buttermilk Pancakes for breakfast which were absolutely delicious and very well priced, there were plenty of other options too. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The only improvements I would mention is that the sink was far too narrow and so I wasn't able to wash my face, there was also a very unpleasant smell of drains when we woke up in the morning, however this did go with time."

"I didn’t catch her name but the young lady who is assistant manager… what a job she does! She looked after reception, was the main waitress, also serving behind the bar. And no one was left waiting whatsoever and all on a night that the hotel was fully booked. Tremendous job! "

"Absolutely fabulous stay. The lovely staff and the grandeur of the hotel made this an exceptional experience. We used the hotel as a base for a very quiet wedding at the local registry office. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special and nothing was too much for the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make sure our every wish was catered for. The room was delightful, furnished in keeping with the hotel. It was very comfortable and we felt at home immediately. The hotel offered a lovely menu with plenty of options which would cater for most palettes. The service was exceptional , with special requests catered for to suit all. The grounds were beautiful and enchanting offering the very best of splendour surrounded by the tranquillity of nature. We had access to a heated pool and enjoyed leisurely swims to suit our timetable. I would highly recommend this hotel for those wishing for some peace and serenity in a picturesque setting. It offered a sense of escapism and made me feel like the protagonist in a wonderful romance novel. Definitely suitable for a special occasion, weddings , anniversaries ect. The hotel is child and dog friendly, which in our view added to the friendliness and character bringing the hotel to life. What more can I say except thank you to Ickworth Hotel for a beautiful and memorable stay."
