"I had a room with super king-size bed, which was wider than it was long. From this I am guessing Turkish sultans were somewhat short back on the day. The room was clean. Bathroom was excellent. It appeared to have real marble stone on walls and floors. Shower worked great. Nice climate controls, i.e. clear and easy to adjust. I could also open window if I wanted to. "We were given a room that wreaked of smoke even though we obviously had booked a non-smoking room. Upon raising the issue, they offered to switch to another room which wasn't as nice. Despite this, the location of this hotel is so good we forgot about the smoke and just stayed in the original room. It's Istanbul anyways and people smoke everywhere! Other good things about the hotel are the breakfast, as well as helpful staff. The gym is small but still usable."

"Great hotel, immaculate inside. The location around the hotel was not great and felt unsafe when walking around. The hotel do offer a free, hourley, shuttle to Taskim square which removes the requirement to walk around the area so I would not let this put you off staying there. The coffee shop is fantastic and all the staff there and the hotel were lovely and very accommodating and helpful. "
