It was my birthday while I was staying there and the General Manager, Mr Muramatsu, sent treats and a card to our room and the restaurant staff presented me with a special dessert! "Beautiful property with a great pool and convenient access to the beach as well. Only suggestion would be to offer a restaurant where we can order a meal as all four dining options were either buffet or set course menus. All of which way overpriced so we ended up going into the city after Day 2 instead. Otherwise a great experience and would recommend this property to anyone travelling to Ishigaki!"

"Great location that a lot of good okinawan restaurants and shops nearby but the furniture inside the room and lobby is a bit old. Bathroom is a bit smelly and dark. One thing I like about the room is the wooden floor that it is much cleaner than the traditional carpet floor in other hotels. Staff are very friendly and they could remember your reservation upon check-in, very professional."

"The location is good, close to the port and the shopping arcade. Many restaurants are nearby. The service at the cafe where breakfast is served is excellent. I really like the two older men who made us the rice balls. I like it not so much about the tastes but their professionalism, they make every rice ball with their hearts and souls."

"Fantastic stay at this property. Stay in the renovated Bay Wing building if you can swing it. Staff were fantastic, very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast at Saltida was worth it, with dishes ranging from steamed pork buns, wood fired beef to pastries and fresh fruit. Some fun cafes and restaurants within walking distance, too. Saw a loggerhead sea turtle and puffer fish while snorkeling in the roped off area of the beach. Would return in a heartbeat."

"Unbelievable location. Half of what you pay is not the villa at all, it's the private beach on the other end of your private rainforest walk. Yes, a PRIVATE beach cove for your villa only, no one else. Walk there naked and swim naked if you want. Every one of the 5 villas have their own private cove and their own private jungle path from the private pool to the private beach. Absolutely amazing - never seen anything like this before in a first world country..."
