"Overall the Tanoa is a great hotel, nice staff, clean and tidy with good facilities and amenities.They let themselves down by ridgedly sticting to the rule of no refunds. Because of circumstances beyond our control we had to cancel a booking made through Expedia. Those circumstance caused us to stay at the Tanoa for four days just not the day we had to cancel. "Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The A/C in the room was wonderful because it was really hot outside. The room was also very spacious. The WiFi however was weak and would go on and off. There is a Chinese restaurant downstairs for convenience and other shops and downtown are within walking distance. "

"Such a beautiful property very convenient and close to town ocean view lovely staffs and sweet. Good food at the restaurant below as well serves such a good breakfast meal fresh organic tropical fruits can’t wait to go back again! Rooms are great for families and little ones big and spacious! "

"I’ve been to a couple of places ever since I got to Tonga but this by far my favorite. So clean and they have cooking supplies and a whole kitchen in my studio room. It was a studio but it’s big. ‘Uliti was so sweet and professional. Wifi hardly worked but it wasn’t a problem cos I had my own hotspot. Thank you again for being kind and good customer service."

"There is absolutely no staff in this property. There is only a Chinese couple who looks after this so called hotel. They don't even speak proper English and it is very difficult to converse with them. There was no room service, no daily room make up and no room management at all. The breakfast was made by that Chinese guy who only gave me limited food in a single plate. Absolutely pathetic place to stay. I will not recommend this to anyone."

Good place with pool to stay in Tonga

"We had a great time however the shampoo and body wash was not always put in our room each day and I had to ask twice for some to be delivered. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly . Thanks . Quite expensive but still okay . A shame there is not a smoking area "
