"Good basic Appart’hotel. Rooms were spacious enough and the outdoor pool was nice for a dip. The indoor pool with sauna etc definitely gave the standard of the hotel a boost. Nice 1 mile walk along the coastline into the city centre, or the bus stop is close to the hotel. Areas for improvement/watch-outs….. our room was not cleaned once in 4 days. "For the price and convenience of location this is a brilliant stay in Biarritz. We travelled as a family of four for surfing. Cote des basque main surf beach is across the road and down the promenade, 5 minutes in the opposite direction you are in the town centre with supermarket, bakery, market, restaurants and shops. "We stayed 6 nights with a family of 4 and found it was a very enjoyable residence due it’s relatively small scale, comfortable apartments with complete furnishings, super welcoming staff and a well-sized swimming pool. It is walkable to the center of town and beach in about 25 min. We loved it and would go back."

"The property profile was misleading. There was no bedroom only a hallway with bunk beds and a sleeper sofa. The sofa was dirty and had stains on it. The unit had an extreme odor. The cancellation policy was lousy. The check-in was only available at certain times. "

"The area is amazing. The apartment was nice but on the street side so very loud. You need to keep door open though cause it would get hot and there was no fan. There was construction going on so that got loud at around 9:15 in the morning. The elevators were very frustrating. The management company staff was really nice though."

A number 39 bus nearby to get into town, but not on a Sunday. 45 minute walk to town. Helpful staff but reception only open part time. For value for money we can recommend. "

"Our stay in Axel Hotel San Sebastián was great! The hotel is located in a quiet area closeby to many cafes and shops and at short walking distance to the beach. The hotel's premises were clean and modern, and we had a spacious and comfortable room. We loved the spa access included during our stay, which was an amazing added value to our holidays. We would definitley repeat! "
