"We loved our stay BUT the marketing photos and name of the hotel are very deceptive. You DO NOT get the horses coming to your cabin, there is a fence (electric) at least 20ft or more away from the cabins and the horses don’t come near you, you can see them afar from your cabin only. You can see Icelandic horses alllll over Iceland so this isn’t really a special experience. "This was a wonderful place to stay! The owner was exceptional in taking care of our needs! It felt like we were staying with family—it was quiet—the bed could have been a little more comfortable—and it would be nice to have a place for suitcases—I would come back and highly recommend it!"

"By far the most beautiful private space we stayed in while in Iceland. It is very secluded, quiet and the unassuming exterior conceals an interior that will take your breath away. The price seemed a bit high when we booked it, but after experiencing it first hand I feel it was worth every krona and then some. I would love to have stayed a few days so I could really soak in the farm and become even better friends with the resident ponies! It was everything I was hoping it would be! "

"Beautiful home, great location, loved the sauna. Only 2 of the 3 beds were made before our party arrive so we had to hunt for the extra bedding but non issue in the end. Great coffee, shower and heated floors awesome! Highly recommend "

"Large, clean and spacious 2 bedroom house. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seemed well stocked. The bathroom was clean and there is a washing machine. It is about a 10 min drive from the main highway and there is a good restaurant at a nearby campground that is a 5 min drive away. Grocery store and gas station 10 min away at the main highway. The only complaint I have is the towels were small thin and scratchy. Otherwise great stay!"

"The property was absolutely beautiful. Lots of privacy, beautiful sunset and was able to catch a glimpse of northern lights during our stay. The dogs on the property were incredibly sweet and made the stay so much more memorable and fun."

"The place wasn't difficult to find, I was a bit worried when I was booking. The location is great, it is close to a lot of tourist attractions. Our room had a wonderful view of the falls. The wind and rain were strong when we stayed, but there wasn't any issue. The room design was chic and posh. The kitchen was fully equipped. I wish they will have flexible/refundable booking option. It was also a bit pricey. I will recommend for longer stays. "

"First of all, I had read the reviews about getting a hold of the owner to get your pin code and room and anticipated some difficulty doing the same. They had two numbers listed on the wall outside. I couldn't find a free phone to use, but I was able to message the 2nd number on Whatsapp and get an immediate response (I tried to call the number a few times and didn't get an answer so messaging them was the way to go). "One of the best accommodations we have in our trip. Place was really clean inside and 2 large lobby room served as a way for us to play games and eat food with while family. Best part is we were the only ones for the 3 nights we stayed. Highly recommend this place for big family. "

"I absolutely loved my stay here. I stayed two separate nights during my travels and these cottages are so well equipped for a home away from home. Everything you could want is provided, they really have thought of everything. The cottages were beautiful, clean, comfortable and the views were stunning! They have plugs for EV cars at each cottage too which is a bonus for people driving e cars. I got to meet one of the owners, she was lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a must stay...

"This was a fun night out in the middle of nowhere. A great location to stargaze or catch the northern lights if it's clear! The camper was in perfect shape, a big deck out front with lots of room for sitting outside. They are building things in the campground, it would be cool to see hot tubs go in!"

Unbelievable stay

"This hotel was so great. The staff, bartender, restaurant all 5 stars and amazing. While the accommodations are not modern (think Viking cozy cabin feel), it is a great experience and tip top service. They have the Aurora wake up call and luckily we got to see the light show @ 4am. Don't think twice book a room here, you won't regret it. They even have a cute service where they will send 1 postcard anywhere in the world."

Lovely stay BUT deceptive marketing!

"We loved our stay BUT the marketing photos and name of the hotel are very deceptive. You DO NOT get the horses coming to your cabin, there is a fence (electric) at least 20ft or more away from the cabins and the horses don’t come near you, you can see them afar from your cabin only. You can see Icelandic horses alllll over Iceland so this isn’t really a special experience. The cabins are wonderful and so is the overall location but you will be disappointed if you are going to want to do what the girl in the photos is doing as that is not going to happen! I highly suggest they remove the photos of the horses coming to the cabin so they don’t get more disappointed guests. "
