" Beautiful former palace with incredible views from terrace. Front desk staff were not very welcoming compared to other hotel properties we have stayed at. I booked a Mountain View room and when I asked about it the Staff person just said “No” with no other explanation. We received a nice size room but no view whatsoever. "

"Lovely property. Good location in old town The terrace and other areas offer a pretty space for relaxing. hosts were gracious. Unfortunately due to a fiesta, we had to walk both ways with our bags as no taxis could be hailed. It’s a hike uphill! Hosts offered a wonderful local restaurant for dinner. "

Some of the finishes are a bit dated - I think it's perhaps more of a 2-star hotel and even the plaque on the outside of the hotel only has 1 star but, as I understand it, the Spanish hotel rating system is undergoing updates. "My initial impression was dubious but on entering the building I was amazed at the beautiful and unique layout of the property. Although my bedroom (#4) was rather small, I was impressed by the high quality of the decorations. The shower facility was of a high standard. The rooftop terrace has been refurbished into a “chill out” area giving wonderful 360 degree views of the surroundings including a view of the distant castle. "Stayed for one night in this Morrocan style designed hotel. The staff was very friendly, and unlike in many other hotels in the Andalucia, the owner spoke perfect english. There was no space outside the hotel to park our car but there's an underground car park around the corner where you can leave your car for a discounted price. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The old town was within a walking distance from the hotel."

"For the price, you could not go wrong. It was cleanthe host was very amicable. There are also couple of restaurants just outside the property, which was very convenient. We only spend one night on our way from Caminito del Rey, so after a long hard day, this place was more than perfect. Will definitely recommend it for a short stay. "

"Worth to note: -Staff only speaks Spanish (which is surprising in hotels business) -Wifi does not work in rooms, only public area -Barebones amenities -Took me 15 minutes to check out since there appears to have been an issue with the computer system -After hours entry/exit is reliant on staff in which they lock doors around 2300; but when I arrived late (relayed to staff through Spanish speaking coworker) they were able to be reached via phone when I was outside to check-in. -Overpriced...

"Per accedere alla struttura il check in deve essere fatto in un altro hotel, peccato che non era specificato da nessuna parte (grazie ad un benzinaio siamo riusciti). Giunti finalmente all'hotel ci siamo trovati soli. "I wish I could have stayed longer. This is exactly the kind of hotel I imagined staying at for a Spanish holiday. Even though it is out of the city a bit, it is so relaxing and so personalized that we loved every second of the stay. Plus waking up to that amazing breakfast spread and flower atrium just can’t be beat. Thank you for the stay "

Lovely hotel in a lovely town!

"This is a lovely hotel, and our room was beautiful. We loved Grazalema. Our only critique is that we opted to include dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, our dinner was limited to 2 choices of entree, neither of which was appealing to us. Also, the breakfast was not as good as other places we stayed in Spain & Portugal. If I were to stay here again, I would not include the dinner. "

Just Brilliant

"Another fantastic stay here. This is a quiet Country Club style hotel with a renowned and top value restaurant in a rural situation just to the east of Spain’s famous sherry producing and horse fair city, Jerez de la Fronteira. Very comfortable, quiet and peaceful stay here with the most charming staff at all levels. Only wish that we could get here more frequently. Having travelled throughout the world for more than 60 years we still love returning here ! Only breakfast buffet I know that serves a Carve It Yourself Jambon. Brilliant !"
