"El Tumi must be the Fawlty Towers of Peru. Very friendly staff, and very little that really works. The toilet in my room would only flush if I had the hot wayer tap in the sink running. The cold water tap in the sink would only run if the cold water tap in the shower was running. I was only staying one night so I didn't complain but enjoyed the fun. When checking out the reception took about 20 minutes to figure out what room I stayed in and how much I should pay. The room itself was a bit worn...

O único problema foi o banheiro demorava muito para esquentar a água e quando esquentava ela esfriava do nada e saia um cheiro muito forte do banheiro q encontrava muito, tinhamos q deixar a porta fechada para evitar o cheiro no quarto todo. "Excellent and super kind staff with genuine desires to help! A group of us stayed here for many days and all had a great time. A restaurant in the hotel opens at 7 AM and closes at 10 PM serves very nice foods. Areas within 1.5 miles radius are full of excitements with all kinds of street vendors, all within walking distances. This hotel is very close to the city center, where courts, local police, national police and first responders are located. So, naturally, it is safe area to be. High mountain peaks are all viewable and hiking trails can lead to the local hill top that is approximately 11,000 feet above sea level, roughly 2 miles of walking. Once you’re on the top, you can see the whole Huaraz city."
