"The views are spectacular , the staff at the reception are nice, not that much at the Zion spa . English is a problem , they all speak Slovak and polish. No air condition in the whole hotel. How come , a 5 star hotel without air condition in the summer where temp is 95. They asked us to open the window and they brought us a fan from 1990 . "Standard double room advertised as much bigger, see photos e.g. with armchair and desk space. In reality, there is no armchair and desk available, apart from of the TV's, so the room is definitely smaller, e.g. the one you see under twin bed room. Some of the spaces will need some improvement in the next few years, but still a 4/5. Apart from this, I am very satisfied, clean, silent, and well equipped spaces, great kitchen ( food quality), the Wellness suit is AMAZING. And the Staff is brilliant, caring and helpful. The location of the hotel is totally perfect, 2-3mins to the train and bus stations, the food store and literally on the way to the cable cars/ ski lifts from the station. I also recommend the Tourism Centre (Tourinform) in front of the hotel and the Norwegian sports equipment store next to the hotel. The stay left me with memories I will cherish for a lifetime and thanks for the Aplend's Staff for this."

It’s okay, not the best not the worst

"It was “okay” we found some children’s clothing under the couch so cleaning is probably not the best. The kitchen utensils were flimsy and not strong enough to do much with. The location is good. Not a lot of parking either, pool is available for 1 euro per room. "
