"Check-in was delayed, with no form of recompense offered, but otherwise the property itself was lovely. Clean, spacious, pretty surroundings and access to 2 pools, which was much valued in the hot weather. We would return again. "

"Property had character and the renovated interior was an exceptional touch although the surrounding plants and grass could do with some tlc. Paddock next to the house also had a brown snake that came up to the car as we were walking in, could possibly do with a mow. "

"Absolutely loved our stay here! My partner and I stayed here for our mini honey moon for a week, it was comfortable and just what we needed. We had a beautiful view that seemed like something from the movies, we enjoyed the pool and the continental breakfast! The only slight mishap was that on one of the cards welcoming and congratulating us it had the wrong names but nonetheless we were greatful - other than that the only other feedback is for people staying more long term it could be beneficial for guests to have maybe a small dustpan to sweep the floors over the days as it did accumulate. Room services were amazing and staff very responsive. "

"We just spent a night here and the Convent is beautiful. Lovely surroundings, nice pool and a lovely comfy room opening out onto a lovely shared balcony with comfy seats. Breakfast was good and our waitress was super nice and attentive. Getting a local taxi in the evening was tricky so just be aware that the well known online ride share company does have taxis in the Hunter Valley! "

Peaceful retreat

"Very comfortable hotel with fantastic views over the Hunter Valley. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner in the bar area was excellent as was the singer/guitar player. Breakfast was the best yet in Australia and staff were wonderful."

"Stayed in 204, the room was perfect for our 1 night stay, Only 2 suggestions would be to place a topper on the bed so its more cosy And have the loungeroom tv mounted to the wall so if you have the sofa lounge you can adjust the tv and remove the desk 10/10 score for everything from checkin to checkout"
