"Although basic was warm and comfy there was hairs all over the bathroom and bed from previous person sockets were in odd place and roller blind didn’t work didn’t spoil my stay though I found it pleasant enough easy check in was taken to room explained codes previous reviews said noisy doors slamming ect traffic noise I didn’t experience any of this found it easy to sleep and quiet great location and easy to find "

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "We booked this as a large group and it didn't disappoint. The apartments were well laid out with ample space in the living room areas. There was great cleanliness throughout and areas stayed at a nice temperature. The accomodation was really quiet at night and the key system although awkward at first was easier than keys. "If you are going to Newcastle, just book this place. Its 5 min walk from the station and so central for the nightlife. Great pub underneath and food options everywhere. The apartment was clean and well laid out, the communication from Gary was spot on. Dont think, just book it."

"Our stay here was okay I mean we’ve been to worse places but as we arrived we were met with a hole in the floor between our 2 single beds. Then as we were going to microwave our food the microwave had mouldy food inside of it. The manager & cleaners did offer us a different room but we were settled by the time we found the food so we just stayed in our room. Overnight Stay at the Royal Station Hotel

"Arrived to the hotel early and they had no problem storing our suitcases until check in. All the people behind the service desk were super helpful and friendly. Even helped give us recommendations for where to eat on the evening. Went to the swimming pool twice while we stayed and was a nice amenity. The room we stayed in was a decent size and clean. Had breakfast on the morning which is a buffet and is well worth it, the variety and amount that is available is plenty and good quality too. Always enjoy when we stay here. "

Friendly staff and comfortable room

"Good contact before trip; fast check-in; quiet room at back of hotel; decent size room and well-appointed bathroom. Good breakfasts. Every single member of staff was welcoming, saying hello in what seemed a very genuine way: spirits seemed good, gave impression of being a happy workplace, which makes guests feel comfortable."

Lovely hospitality

"This was a delightful 3-star hotel which gets 5 stars from me in that category. The lovely warm hospitality started upon my check-in. Shout out to Michael for his warm welcome, extremely friendly and welcoming. All his colleagues, the whole team, were really nice too. The room was a decent size, as was the bathroom - just the right size, any smaller and it would’ve been too small. The bed was fine, the mattress was fairly comfortable. The sheets were good enough. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. My room, 206, was at the back of the building so it was quiet. There was some noise from the corridor/other rooms, but none from outside. Overall, the noise wasn’t too bad. The breakfast was great, and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel location is perfect - central and a few minutes’ walk from the station. Overall, excellent. Very happy with my stay."

Great hotel conveniently placed for train

"I thought this was a great hotel. Everything was in excellent condition and very clean and comfortable. Walking distance from the train and metro service is five minutes and there are lots of chain and non-chain restaurants and take away nearby. Room had a table and chairs for eating at or working. Only qualm was I’d have liked a choice of pillows as the ones on the bed were too high for my neck. Other than that, perfect stay. "
