"What struck me is the front desk gal, upon check-in - a blond, maybe 40's never smiled or said she was happy we chose Hotel Verdant. In fact, she seemed annoyed and unfriendly to us. That was a bit startling. On the second night, the fire alarm (which I now know are very very loud and have flashing lights) went off at 5-6 a.m and they could not get them off.
