"Summer Dream was the best hotel we could ask for. It was extremely modern, great view, and the town of Rethymno has a wonderful downtown area. If you go, I recommend Achinos, I believe it is spelled. The best food we had in Greece. Summer dream is also located next to many markets including SKYNKA, which is walking distance. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was the best part of our trip in Crete. "

"Booked 1-night for March 2024. Amazing location in the Old Town just steps away from shops, bars, restaurants etc. Everything inside the property was pretty much perfect, the room, the beds, the facilities, the patio, the view! . So many little touches from the host that made it special. Definitely 10/10."

"This was a beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Old Town. We had a spacious suite with a loft. The pool was an excellent addition to take a dip after our walks. Breakfast was so yummy, especially the Greek pastries and yoghurt. The outdoor area was beautiful. Would highly recommend this quaint hotel."

"Beautiful property in a great location. Staff was very attentive. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection. It’s in a lovely walking section of the old city but there is parking at the Port parking lot about 5 minutes away. Will definitely stay here again. "

"It is located in the Old Town. There are only six rooms and so there isn't anyone there full time- they request that you tell them when you plan to arrive. We have a good sized room with a private deck. On the deck there is a very large Jacuzzi, though we didn't use it. A large umbrella provides shade. There is a table and chairs where it is pleasant to eat breakfast or you can go up to the roof and dine there in the sun. There is also a folding contraption that you can use to dry your towels...

"The property is exquisite, no doubt. Very unique building and room that has kept some of the original building characteristics. Couple big issues though. First, the Wi-Fi is totally unusable, at least in the room we reserved. Was told it was normal because of the old stones used in buildings. If that’s the case, they should have a mesh network or a better solution than whatever they have now because we legit couldn’t get things to load and were told there was no internet at times by sites....

"We loved the sea view apartments! We were a bit dubious at first as the first floor is a bit run down, however where the apartments are is very clean and well kept. It was in a great location and the room had everything you could need, especially if you were staying for longer than a few days. "I've been a bit concerned about the noise (there is the main road just across the local street from the hotel) while booking, but we've slept perfectly well (the sound proof of our room 308 was excellent). So this hotel turned to be an optimal choice for our unfortunately just 1-day stay (we booked it to enjoy the evening in the old Rethymno). The access to the property from both directions is really very easy, there is a bakery and some tavernas just 1 street away (up the hill around the corner). There was some misunderstanding about the air-condition (for some bookings, the property charge a 5 EUR/day - you get a remote control at the reception desk), but we've settled that with a very kind and helpful guy at the reception in no time. WiFi is OK, a lot of parking places are provided, the pool looks nice (unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy). Despite the kitchen is advertised, there was only a fridge and a kettle in our room (with some cups and glasses, but nothing else). For our 1-night stay this was not a problem at all, but might be an issue if you plan to prepare even some simple meals. But I guess the property has also rooms with at least a kitchenette... All in all, I can only recommend this hproperty, and it will definitely be my first choice next time I'll need a place to stay for a short time around Rethymno (I don't know about the beach around, which might be quite important for a longer stay...)."
