Nice Hotel combination Private ownership building, close to all shops and dining in Waikiki. Friendly staff and even provided Beach Chairs and Umbrella for us to use. It is older but they kept it in shape, we were on the 28th floor with partial ocean view.

**Hotel Review** We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel for the second time! The staff and management were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, making our visit even more enjoyable. As a delightful surprise, we were upgraded to a see-through room, which added a special touch to our stay. One of the standout features was the shower – the water pressure was fantastic and incredibly refreshing. The only downside we encountered was the outdated system used for accessing the garage and our room. It caused some inconvenience, and an update to a more modern key system would greatly improve the overall experience. Despite this minor issue, we had a pleasant stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

I have stayed here year after year and every time I go to checkin it’s an absolute nightmare. This yeah I was moved 3 times (3 different rooms). I said I needed a full size room which is what I booked on Expedia, when I said this I was told I needed to upgrade and spend more for my 9 night stay, this on top of what I had already spent. No discount was offered for putting me in a room overlooking construction (loud noise) and an out of older pool. Asked to speak to manager Christina and she was always unavailable. For what I paid, I deserved better.

They sold out is our room type and had to downgrade us for the first night. They accommodated this by reducing the resort fees we would have paid. The bed was the worst I've ever experienced in a hotel. Extremely poor mattress. They use a window air conditioner in the living area that could not keep the room cool if the window shades are open during the day and it was uncomfortable at night even with the bedroom door open since there was no unit in the bedroom. They did provide a floor standing oscillating fan that helped. The pool was out of service the whole time we were there but we were able to use the hot tub, which was nice. They were doing maintenance ok the patios of the building starting at 8am most mornings, which was very irritating not to mention all the noise from the sirens during the night and the building construction early in the morning on the building next door. We were promised a full ocean view and the view was nice but was partially blocked by another hotel so we could not observe the sunsets from our room. The Wi-Fi worked fairly well but stopped working on the last few days, but they just had us switch networks so it wasn't too bad. The water pressure and heat in the shower was good but the drain was very slow. The parking was not managed by the hotel and was very tight to maneuver in. The price was what you expect for overnight parking in the area. We were able to find a slightly cheaper option within easy walking distance though.

Overall a nice stay. Friendly staffs, convenient location. The room was quite outdated though. The first room we checked in got broken air conditioner and broken faucet. The furnitures were very old and space inefficient for such a small room. House keeping every three days.

Nice decent hotel. Beach is close and a short walk. We had to change the initial room because construction noise became unbearable but the stuff promptly gave us a new room. Both rooms were clean but the bathrooms are a bit small. In fact the first room shower was really small. Second room had a bath tub which was bigger and better. Stuff were friendly and courteous.

Our stay at the Pacific Monarch was excellent! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, our view from the 19th floor hotel room were excellent and the room was well appointed and clean. Only thing missing was a t-towel, which we later learned could/should have been requested from housekeeping. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a great stay at this hotel just 2 blocks from the beach. We ended up with a corner room with a partial ocean and sunset and sunrise views. The view from the rooftop pool is great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel does not have central air and city location means it can be noisy. Rooms are showing their age but everything was in order.

The staff were welcoming and accommodating - no issues with them at all! Housekeeping was efficient and the unit was as clean as possible given it's run-down condition. The best I could say about our room 2106 was that it was shabby and uncared for. Paint had been smeared on surfaces, the lanai furniture, cupboards and light fixture had been spray painted poorly. The kitchenette layout was awkward. The furnishings were shabby. The bedroom was so crowded you had to move the bed to access the closet. When we did we found dust bunnies in abundance. The lamp and TV were unplugged, the internet didn't work (maintenance fixed that for us). If you're going to rent this unit it should be at a vastly reduced rate! I won't be recommending your facility because of this.

The room was clean and comfortable. I like the Pacific Monarch because it’s so close to the beach in Waikiki. The staff have improved since COVID. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Pacific Monarch is a convenient spot, close to Waikiki Beach. Our room was quite small, the kitchenette was tiny, but it was good enough for two people. If you are facing Diamond Head, you are facing south, which means the room will be cooking (even with AC) unless you draw the curtains. The staff at reception were super friendly and helpful. True Aloha spirit.

I reserved this through Expedia with what I thought was all fees included. However, there was a $40.00 per day fee added for amenities which include a pool on the roof and a washer and dryer in the car park. Also they charged a $35.00 per day parking fee. The property itself does not justify the added expense. Next time, I will pay more at the booking time for a nicer hotel.

This is my second time staying at Pacific Monarch and just like the first time, I felt that my money was well spent staying here. The location is unmatched, just a short 5 minutes walk to Waikiki Beach and access to all the beach front shopping area. The hotel is also conveniently located on top of a musubi store and right across from a great poke spot. This time, I noted that the facility is undergoing some construction so there are some construction noises, but overall did not bother me much during my stay. Staff and customer service was great.
