The room was clean and better than we expected. A great view and we got to enjoy the fireworks show which was welcomed surprise! We enjoyed being able to walk to the mall which was so convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Got ta love Ala Moana.

We travel inter Island several times a year and enjoy not only the accommodations but the access to Ala Moana shopping center as well. Makes our regular medical trips so much more enjoyable.

Check-in was frustrating — the manager made us wait a long time while they fixed paperwork issues on their end. Thankfully, Expedia stepped in and resolved everything quickly without me even having to ask. That’s why I always book with them. The hotel’s location is excellent, right next to the mall, which was super convenient with a toddler. We also appreciated the buffet and on-site convenience store. Just be aware that parking is pricey — about $40 per night.

Third time

1901 is near the elevators, but the convenience of the short distance and some of the fastest elevators in existence outweigh the distraction of the elevator noise. This is our third time on the property, and we enjoy the convenience of the location to the center and nearby restaurants.

Lovely place.

Room and location was fantastic. Amenities great. Loved the restaurant, pool, bar, cafes. Only issue was the lack of response regarding early check in. Arrived at 8.30am (My issue), but check in was 4pm. Emailed multiple times over a few days trying to get an earlier check in. No response. Would recommend this location though.

The unit is immaculate and comfortable. I wasn't aware that this was a privately owned unit, meaning the hotel is not responsible for cleaning the room. As a result, hotel staff will not come to your room to clean, replace towels, or restock toilet paper.

Pros -lobby, pool, weight room -Starbucks on site -close to shopping & conference centre -staff were friendly Cons -noisy - room was behind elevators, up to 50dB all night long from elevators moving up and down. Complained about it but they couldn’t move us. Stay away from any room ending in ‘01’ regardless of floor. -communication - everything was through email, they were relatively quick to respond unless it was something they couldn’t solve like moving us to a different room because of the noise, in that case they didn’t respond until the next day -no hot tub

When I arrived, they told me that my booking was reserved by Expedia for 4 May and not the third. Then the front desk advised that this was a privately owned condo and not part of the Alamoana hotel subsequently we would not have access to towels and bedding changes And other necessities like toilet paper. This had not been understood by me and do not recall anything about this being not part of the hotel when I rented the third through 5 May for a holiday for my wife and myself. The receptionist was very good and so was the staff at the hotel, but both my wife and I felt it very strange that the accommodation was not part of Ala Moana hotel.

Location is perfect for Attending Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaii. It’s an Easy walk to Magic Island/Ala Moana Beach. Ala Moana Center Mall, Hawaii Convention Center, and Don Quixote Super Market. It’s an enormous Hotel,60+ Years old and well maintained.

Great place with great views!

This hotel is lovely and the room is perfect! Great size with all the things you could need. Our only issue was the neighbouring room doors were quiet loud and woke us up a few times in the night but overall a great place for the price.
