"We booked a low floor connecting room. Room was clean and it was not noisy despite low level. However, basin in master bedroom was small and tap was hard to turn on. Bed was also showing its age as it lacked support. Otherwise staff are warm, friendly and go the extra mile to ensure our stay is comfortable. Location was impeccable. It was walking distant to the food street and old market. Booking of show and latern release is a breeze at the hotel. On the whole, good hotel and great location."

"We had a great stay at this wonderful little hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a drink and small snack at check in, which was a nice touch. The location is pretty much perfect - steps away from old town but just far enough that you’re not kept up by the festivities. The exterior of the hotel is very cute and quaint. "Bonsai Villa is about a 10min walk to the Old Town and we felt safe walking home late in the evening from the Old Town. It’s a family run villa and is a lovely quiet place. The owner is very nice and helpful with all our queries. Lots of large, beautiful bonsai in the garden. Sadly, we have been too busy to utilise the pool, which was very inviting during the hot day."
