The property itself is awesome. Only 10 min from town, but it feels very remote and secluded in a good way. The animals belonging to the property are cute and there are many wallabies and other visitors after dusk as well. The shared BBQ hut is unique, too.
However, the actual accommodation was a disappointment. If you have to clean dishes and cupboards for the first hour of your stay, then there's something wrong. Property owners/managers simply cannot rely on tenants alone to keep dishes/kitchen reasonably clean.
It's no problem that there's no housekeeping while you are there, but then at least somebody should do a good job cleaning between guests. Not so in our case. The place felt extremely dusty and unclean.
Probably as a result of that, we had a massive ant problem. In the kitchen cupboards, the toaster (which had not been cleaned), the bathroom and, most disgustingly, the upstairs bedroom.
The property is for sale and one can only hope that new owners are found soon who take care of the issues, as the location is awesome.
