"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. "Vi tilbringer nyttårsaften her for å komme unna rakettene. Det er stille og fredelig, kun litt oppskyting fra campingplassen ved siden av. Leiligheten er romslig og supert med et eget soverom. Til å være en leilighet med plass til 4 personer kunne det vært litt flere tallerkener etc. Kun 2 dype tallerkener kan jo være litt problematisk hvis man er 4. Ellers er alt topp. Pluss for gratis parkering"

"On my visit to Norway I looked for a property close to where I was working. As a keen golfer I noticed the property advertised an on site golf course and driving range. This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. "While we ultimately enjoyed our stay at a two-bedroom cottage, we were upset that the additional charge for bed linens and towels was not transparent at the time of booking. We travel on a budget and did not expect an extra charge on top of the rate for the night. They charge 140kr per person for bed linens and towels. You will get an email about this AFTER you make a reservation. There is also a charge for cleaning, which is quite high, but we found this easy to avoid if you agree to tidy up...

"Good airport hotel, free parking, but have to pay for the airport shuttle. Room was very clean. Breakfast starts at 4am which is great, as many hotels don't serve this early. Breakfast was ok, maybe at 4am they had limited options."
