Property is in a great location in old Havana. The property was excellent for the price and the staff are amazing and made our trip. They were extremely helpful with advice on food and finding things to see and do. I stayed there with my 14yr old son and they really made our trip with help on any language barrier issues. We felt very safe there and with the area. I would definitely go there again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostal. The hosts could not have been lovelier people. Staying here made my trip to Cuba that much more special. I enjoyed arriving at her place at the end of my day and sitting around chatting about life in Cuba and listening to their feedback on places to go. The property itself was quiet, comfortable, clean and felt safe.

This casa was a perfect location in old Havana, very close to the Plaza Vieja and great for just wandering agound and taking in the city. The balcony is a good place to sit and watch people go by. Maria is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there which was great. We stayed there at the beginning of our holiday and booked it again for our return to Havana at the end.

Despite it being described as a "hostel" it is not a hostel in the UK/US fashion. It is MUCH better. You are staying with a family. Who are great! I got my own private room, with my own private shower, toilet ensuite. I had a double and single bed - as I was on my own I only used the double which was very comfortable. The room itself was beautifully clean. It has modern air-conditioning should you need it. For a hostel, the shower room was excellent - just let the shower get ready (again, remember this is Cuba, water supply is not the strongest). Maria and Isabel are AMAZING hosts, absolutely lovely. It is in a fantastic neighbourhood of Habana, very much within walking distance of all the attractions and there are many restaurants and bars in the area. A couple of points to note: remember you are in Cuba. Credit cards are not taken at a lot of places, so have cash for your entire visiit. The taxi from the airport will take US dollars - around 30usd. DO NOT CHANGE MONEY AT THE AIRPORT - you will not get a good rate. Wait until you get to the hostel. Maria and Isabel will also be able to sell you water much cheaper than the local shops. Also - there is no hardwired broadband. Internet is graciously provided by Maria or Isabel allowing the WiFi hotspot on their mobile. This means speeds are slow, and you can generally only get signal in the shared space and during waking time. BUT, REALLY BRILLIANT
