Jorge and Vicky run a lovely bed and breakfast filled with beautiful wood furniture and stained glass. The breakfasts are large and delicious, including fresh fruit, eggs, ham sandwiches with vegetables (we have American stomachs and never got sick from the raw fruits and vegetables they served us), and coffee and fresh juice. They can answer all your questions about the surrounding area. They recommended us a privately owned restaurant that was both cheap and delicious (Obama went there!) and a wonderful authentic music venue that was similarly fun and affordable. Jorge is a fantastic salsa teacher, which you should take him up on. The neighborhood is in the middle of everything, walkable and very lively but very safe, with shops, restaurants, bars, and night life. By the time we left, we felt like we'd stayed at a friend's house. Fantastic place, fantastic people.

Besser geht es nicht! Das Casa in zentraler Lage ist sehr gepflegt, stilsicher und landestypisch mit ausgesuchten Stücken eingerichtet. Beeindruckend die 5 Meter hohen Stuckdecken und der offene Patio mit portugiesischen Fliesen. Wiebke und Jorge verstehen es, dir einen so herzlichen Empfang zu bereiten und dir so viele Insider-Tipps für die ganze Insel zu geben, dass du dich sofort heimisch fühlst. Jorges Frühstück darf man nicht verpassen, es gibt kein besseres! Seine Salsastunden haben uns sehr schnell vorangebracht und sein charmanter Humor überbrückt jede Hürde! Wiebke hat auf jede Frage eine Antwort und gibt ihre profunden Kenntnisse über Land und Leute und zur Weiterreise gern weiter. Alle Tipps, auch die vor Reiseantritt waren super hilfreich und deutlich aktueller als Infos aus Internet oder Reiseführer. Schauergeschichten über „kein Strom, kein Internet in Kuba“ sind -jedenfalls betreffend 2025 - maßlos übertrieben. Unbedingt nach Kuba reisen! Kuba gefällt uns besser als Jamaica, weil du als Tourist nirgendwo Gewaltkriminalität befürchten musst! Wir hatten nie eine furchteinflößende Situation, auch nicht abends und in den ärmeren Teilen Havannas, die Menschen waren überall freundlich zurückhaltend. Herzlichen Dank an Havanna, Wiebke und Jorge!
